THE LOCAL BIZ MAGAZINE is a publication of INspired Media Inc., a full service marketing agency providing marketing, advertising, media buying, graphic design, web design, event planning and management services. While our passion lies in helping small and medium sized businesses, no project is too big for us to handle.

Originally publisher and creative director Antoine Elhashem developed a magazine about small businesses and for small businesses in Durham Region. Then he found out that this region we call home is so much more than just a place to do business. This is a really exciting community made up of a many smaller communities, each one contributing unique and fascinating opportunities to enrich our lives.

And so the idea was born. Let’s introduce the various areas to each other. People in Ajax can see a bit of Cannington. Pickering? Maybe Bowmanville? Maybe some places away from the lake and 401.

The Local Biz Magazine represents the spirit of living in our local community. It is produced seasonally four times each year covering things that can make our lives fuller, more enjoyable.

In assembling a lively mix of articles from around the Region along with some regular columns of interest to our readers, we look at the people and events that can improve our lives in so many ways. Contributors range from high school students to seniors as well as published authors and artists, all neatly packaged by our Art Director into a friendly, glossy, full colour magazine.

In addition to The Local Biz Magazine, INspired Media Inc. also publishes The Pink Pages Directory as well as the line of glossy Pink Play Mags. INspired Media’s passion is helping small businesses succeed in their marketing and advertising efforts and The Local Biz Magazine is a proud chapter in that story.
